Frequently Asked Questions

In this section we try to answer some of the most common questions
new sperm donors may have. If your question is not answered in this
section, please click on the "contact us" link and ask your question there.

What do you do with the sperm I donate?
The sperm is processed and frozen, then held in a six month quarantine
prior to marketing, selling, and shipping to clients in need of the product.
Many of our clients are married couples having difficulty conceiving a child
because of the man having a severe fertility issue. We also provide
sperm specimens to schools and for research/business purposes.

Will the person buying the sperm know who I am?
No, unless you wish so. At this time Northwest Andrology operates an
anonymous donor program. This means that the person buying the
sperm is not provided with the donors identification unless you have
specifically approved of that release. If you do wish to provide your
identification to clients, you may be eligible for even higher donor fees.

How do clients of the sperm bank pick their donor?
To begin with, clients are provided with a list of donors and their physical
characteristics, interests, blood types, etc. If a client finds a donor of
particular interest they are then able to access the donors medical history
and make a determination as to the donors suitability for making their
family.

Will people see me enter your facility?
This is a valid question, but not to worry. There is always a chance, but
the offices in both Spokane and Missoula are large medical and office
buildings with many other occupants. We are not in "stand alone"
buildings labled as a sperm bank. We are certainly proud of our products,
but discreet in our footprint. We see patients for fertility treatments, sell
over the counter products, have men leaving specimens for studies that
we participate in, etc., etc., so our foot traffic is by no means just donors.
The only way that anyone could confirm your participation as a donor is if
you confirm it with them. Some of our donors are very open about their
participation while others wish to be very private.
